I don't have the bandwidth to talk civil forfeiture laws, but cops auctioning off impounded and processed evidence vs openly declaring intention to use seized assets before the due process of the law is very different. Even moreso if the seizure is prompted by a stated desire to acquire the goods.

If it were impounded as evidence of a crime, you would be correct. "I guess we keep it" indicates an intent to use. Which is plunder. Swap oil for cocaine if it helps you understand it better.

I feel that in my bones. Can't claim ownership or understanding of your experiences, but I concur. I have added more grey hairs this year than I have in the past ten.

Mine was channel 17. So many good memories, from Mr Rogers to Mr. Bean, because it was one of the only channels I was allowed to watch. I still support them (my local one), but it's not the same without the crt and pledge drive vibes.

Brother, I hate to say it but I might have passed it on to you. I spent 4 hours last week waiting for the shop to change my tires. Only one guy working, front desk & garage. I wasn't mad at him because he was 4 deep, but it was not a good day. I think my scream of frustration released a daemon.
