i just think it's kinda hollow to keep reemphasizing that atproto is decentralized as if most people even had a way to use it without being dependent on services operated by bluesky, you know just as well as i do that you control the vast majority of this "network"

One of the usual complains I hear w/r/t Mastodon instances is that moderation in any given instance might be "bad" and so will cause unnecessary drama. Then I look at Bluesky, the birdsite, Facebook, Youtube, and whatnot, and you got exactly that. You're dealing with people, but I'd rather deal with
