a user was banned (permanently) from bluesky, despite being hosted on another PDS - plus.flux.community/p/banning-co...

the user was not showing up on bsky.app or blacksky.community, so the CEO of blacksky @rude1.blacksky.team is now working on completely separating blacksky.community from bluesky

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

anyone still using the "blackskycomra.de" handle can change it to "myatproto.social" or "cryptoanarchy.network" by:

1. logging into blacksky.community
2. going to SETTINGS -> ACCOUNT -> HANDLE
3. selecting either the "myatproto.social" domain or the "cryptoanarchy.network"

modify or alert your content can refers to the changing appview entries in atprotocol, where the oauth requires modification permissions to change a lexicon entry for say your profile image or profile header

these are boiler plate permissions which are translated into legalize for protection
