At least one other person reported this bug.
can you email [email protected] with a screen recording of what you were doing (maybe try a couple different reporting options), try from the bsky client and also in incognito/clearing cache

Also if you can remember when this started happening

Up until recently Bluesky would delete the whole account. That policy could be changing.
The sure-fire way for antagonistic migration would be to use something like bsky.storage for backups + have a recovery key in your did:plc (or use did:web)

bluesky decentralization in action:

- bluesky the corp bans a user
- user’s data is alive on their blacksky PDS, an indie server
- blacksky will deploy their own API server which will bring back the user to everyone else
- user keeps their data, identity, followers. nothing is lost

TL; DR
In the next 5 business days you should be able to go to Link's page on blacksky.community and see his posts and he'll be able to post but people using the bsky mobile apps won't see it.
After that we'll get Blacksky-only posts up.
After that we can talk about purging bsky mod tools

They do great work on preventing CSAM and other things.
We'll try to use their labels and override at our own discretion.

P.S. I've been updating docs.blacksky.community based on questions and feedback so check that out.

Thanks again to the folks who trust us and contribute the funds that allow to continue pursuing this mission of providing communities with autonomous, safe spaces.

Gonna get back to work now 👨🏾‍💻

If this becomes a big enough problem, we can switch gears over time! When Blacksky Private Posts ships (eventually) that won't touch Bluesky services at all and we (the Blacksky community) can decide collectively how we want that to work (maybe we don't allow images/videos at all!) 10/11

Other concerns that have been raised today seem to be around our processing of user data. Our privacy policy and processors are public blackskyweb.xyz/about/suppor...
Bluesky, which we view as a partner, may process your data differently than us when you use their app or even blacksky.community 9/11

While not at all trivial to do, Blacksky is in the fortunate position to have the technical talent and money in the bank to make this a trivial decision to do this week

This is different from our community.blacksky.* API which is going on hold (less Barnes & Nobles, more invite-only Book Club) 8/11

I've been radio silent because I'm in the process of standing up an app.bsky.* API server (aka app-view aka Barnes & Nobles). This is an expensive and time intensive operation that I didn't want to do until it was necessary.
It's a fail-safe not a differentiator in experience, but important 7/11

While I'm grateful tools like this exist, to me this is still an unacceptable experience. We can do better than the disconnected posts, profiles only visible on certain sites, inability to do global search, and inaccurate like/follow counts that are tolerated on other decentralized networks. 6/11
rude1.blacksky.team
As you can see in this screenshot, not only are AJ Link's post and profile still available elsewhere, he is still posting (though seemingly less happily) freedom of speech unimpeded
This app Red Dwarf by @whey.party skips the bookstore and goes straight to the author. blacksky.community doesn't 5/11

Suspension of accts from Bluesky has called into question the mission and very existence of Blacksky. "If bsky can still suspend you, what's the point?"

For one usually Bluesky doesn't just suspend you. They delete all of your data AND suspend you. Moving to Blacksky prevents that. 4/11
rude1.blacksky.team
Using AJ Link as an example, his current situation is that Bluesky, the Barnes & Nobles of atproto have banned him from their stores and essentially blackballed him from the publishing industry.

Fortunately for AJ Link, we've kept all his manuscripts safe and sound right where he left them. 3/11
rude1.blacksky.team
Using book publishing as an analogy for AT Protocol, a PDS is like self-publishing your manuscript. You always retain a copy of it and can take it with you elsewhere (as long as you keep backups).

An App View (or API Server) is like a publishing house or bookstore. It's the distribution. 2/11
rude1.blacksky.team
I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11
