It looks like I put the book next to the cat but in fact the cat put herself next to the book.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the whole Her Majesty's Royal Coven trilogy by @junodawson.bsky.social, I've not quite finished this final book (Human Rites) but I love this whole coven of witches ✨

An epic visit to @wtm.uk's Big Dig up on Highdown Hill - archaeologists are excavating sites including Anglo-Saxon graves and a Bronze Age Barrow. Tours of the site are taking place until August 1st, well worth a visit if you love a hill fort! (I LOVE a hill fort):

I have unbelievably only just got round to reading Juno Dawson's Her Majesty's Royal Coven trilogy and it is SO GOOD. Perfectly pitched, dark and hilarious witchy drama with a superb cast of characters. Highly recommending to anyone as late to the party as me.

So I've deactivated my Twitter account as there have been 2 potential attempts to hack it in last couple of weeks. I can't work out if it's just getting confused when I log in from my laptop but I do not live anywhere near Ashton under Lyme so taking no chances. Has this happened to anyone else?

Do you have trouble sleeping / are you finding your bed uncomfortable / have you considered a small cardboard box / have you considered the stairs / have you considered being massive and furry / have you considered being this cat

It's 7 years now since we moved South from Bristol and I brought with us a cutting from the loganberry bush in our garden. It's still going strong & producing more berries every year, somehow surviving the onslaught of footballs thudding past it.

I watched my eldest child sing with 8000 other kids at the O2 arena as part of the Young Voices choir which was both bonkers and amazing (they also have a foundation that enables kids to participate in music yvfoundation.org.uk)

VAMPIRE WEEKEND what a truly epically talented bunch of musicians. How could you not love a band whose encore includes covering a bit of Last Christmas AND Wuthering Heights. That is range.

I loved #ourwivesunderthesea by Julia Armfield and now I also love Private Rites: weird, watery, queer, apocalyptical re-imagining of King Lear. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE. Guaranteed to give you strange dreams 10 / 10.

Not been on here for ages and can see a few people have followed me - apologies it may take me a while to follow people back!

In the meantime here is a large furry cat who is not sure you've appreciated just how extremely furry he is.

Pumpkin pie and cocktails at @estellarua.bsky.social's house yesterday made my Thursday night. There is no pumpkin pie or cocktails in my house so I am eating peanut butter out of a jar with a spoon.
