“Our president also shares our love of young, nubile…” !!!
Wow! Letter from Epstein to a convicted sex offender Larry Nassar right before Epstein’s death.

This was in the files the DOJ released last night and then removed from their site.

But he’s about to kick 2 million Texans off their healthcare right before Christmas.

James Talarico: Are you aware that this bill removes the writings of Frederick Douglass & Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.?

Republican: I am

Talarico: Yet this bill includes writings of Alexis de Tocqueville, and he's not even American. Could that be because he's a white man?

Republican: N-not exactly…

This kind of reactionary response is, frankly, bananas.
I’m sorry, but it is disgraceful to be an academic who uses this technology to conduct research. It should be prohibited in all of our scholarly institutions, including universities and journals.

On Wednesday, former special counsel Jack Smith testified before the House Judiciary Committee, telling it that he and his team found “proof beyond a reasonable doubt” that Trump engaged in a “criminal scheme” to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

The Trump regime is breaking the law by not releasing all the Epstein files today and by sticking Trump's name on the Kennedy Center and by continuing to murder people on boats near Venezuela.
The White House is in the hands of criminals, and they'll keep committing crimes until we stop them.

… Under federal law, DOJ was supposed to release ALL of the Epstein files today with minimal redactions just to protect the identity of victims.

I know people are rightly going to be worried about child health, their own health. But we also can't afford this. Like, John Hopkins did an estimate (next link) and every measles case during outbreaks cost on average $43,000 to treat. That kid who got tetanus cost $1 million dollars to treat /1

The contrast between Trump's US & EU:
The EU just committed $105 Billion to Ukraine for two years.
The US defense billl offers $400 Million (!) a year for those two years.
Trump has made the US irrelevant.
The EU understands the importance of Ukraine, Trump does not.

Trump openly tells his flock he’s stealing $1 Billion from the treasury for himself — and somehow makes himself the victim in the story.

And they clap.
Trump makes a "joke" about stealing a billion dollars intended for charity and giving it to himself. (Something he has done multiple times.) "I negotiate with myself," he says.

the tea party was really a seminal shift in how the median congressperson behaved in person

you stopped needing to be a successful schmoozer and started needing to be a totally unreasonable lunatic to win your primaries, and social media has only accelerated this
My theory that as members of congress are increasingly batshit it will increasingly select for even more batshit people who can tolerate the job is doing pretty well
