its weird to be more familiar with tolkien as a medievalist than an author and its not even really because im an academic, i just happened to get around to his arthurian stuff before reading the hobbit and lord of the rings

the problem with really loving two (2) musical rn and listening to them all the time on spotify (also having a history of being a hamilton obsessed teen back when) is that now your daylists are populated with hamilton songs even though it is a VERY different vibe than hadestown and next to normal
