Long-time D.C. resident. New England native. Proud Oberlin College alum. I write, design, and lament the downfall of democracy. PR manager for the American Society of Landscape Architects. Views are mine and not those of my employer.
This is one reason why a lot of people are very depressed.

Also, maybe try being nice to people once in a while? I literally am never told I'm smart, funny, appreciated, wanted, clever, or an individual folks would want to have around. I'm all those things, and yet nobody ever thinks to notice, and waiting around for those accolades is exhausting.

Sweetly poetic, although some sad mermaid out there is likely wondering where her Polly Pocket pieces went.

Dispensaries in my area don't list CBN on their packaging. But I was curious to see if my favorite new strain for insomnia is high in CBN, and according to Google, it is! Northern Lights is excellent for those needing some shut-eye.

For decades, people spoke on the phone without seeing the other person, and for most people (save for specific disabilities/sensitivities), it was fine. What if we didn't insist on everything being a video or that we constantly take selfies to "prove" something happened? I miss audio-only!

Debates about cranberry sauce: Yawn. Both kinds are great! I'm mostly just happy when another person is willing to cook a billion courses and I get to indulge in stuffing and weird casseroles with condensed mushroom soup. This year, we're going to the zoo + eating French food. No cooking/cleaning!

Not to mention all those "sleepy Joe" taunts. Whatever he's accusing others of is typically what he's doing himself.

Donating! As a PR person who sent you many releases on climate justice issues, I hope you will also pay the mitzvah forward when you're employed again and PR folks are losing their jobs, too! We're all in this together.

Uh, they were definitely NOT being handed out willy-nilly. I actually gave up on SNAP b/c the process had so many hurdles to clear, and I wanted to direct my attention to piecing together a freelance salary and applying for full-time work. Way easier to get unemployment bennies than SNAP.

Noooo! I am SO sorry to hear about this. I did PR for enviro advocacy groups for ages, and often raved about how you were covering climate issues from a youth perspective. I'm gutted for you and your staff.

Woof. Most/many liberal arts colleges teach African American Studies...in addition to Women's Studies, Asian American Studies, Marixism, etc. It's not to steep students in "dogma," it's to introduce them to a range of points of view so they can form their own.

My envy of people with fine, straight hair started with these babies. I always wanted these barrettes, but I had too much hair to be contained by them.

Weird how he's not connecting climate change to poverty tho. Even within the framework of his false argument, his claim falls apart.

I used to have a coworker who would randomly stick those on objects around the office. You'd walk into the kitchen and see a set of googly eyes staring you down from the coffee machine.

I can also blow smoke rings and light your cigarette off of mine. I am not glamorizing smoking as much as describing how introverts got by in 90's social settings.

Gen-X men? I've known about Tron since the mid-80s when they had us watch it as a rainy day activity at UMass tennis camp, and it always seemed like a film geared towards my male peers. I'd imagine it's Gen X men who keep on rebooting it...
