All I ask is that they stay up there and don't fall down the chimney. They inevitably end up somewhere you can't reach, and the scrabbling can go on for DAYS

My dog's priorities for an excited greeting are:
1. Humans known to carry treats
2. Other golden retrievers
3. Everyone else

Her memory for people who have ever given her a treat is phenomenal!

Need more tea. And some toast. And ideally another hour or so asleep, but 2 out of 3 ain't bad

I've just been invited to contribute to a birthday gift using pay.collectiv.com who made the (clearly identified) contribution to cover the cost to them voluntary. I don’t know what ts&cs they set for users, but they might be worth a look

Driving is an earned privilege, not a right. It brings with it the responsibility to make sure that we and our vehicles are able to be on the road in safety. This responsibility applies from the moment we pass our driving test and should not only be enforced past a certain age

Dear Willow, thank you so much for gifting us these fun, charming meeces getting ready for Xmas. Wishing you and those you love all the best for Christmas and for 2026

Those 'free birth', avoid midwives, won't resuscitate a newborn because the baby has 'chosen not to live' harpies are also strong contenders. Wouldn't like to say which will be in the envelope when it's opened

I'm sorry - I had a very similar night. Could not find the 'off' switch in my brain. The only thing helping me right now is the possibility of an afternoon nap. If I make it through the morning unscathed...

Thank you for guiding me to the answer!

Oh god, yes. I mean, global capitalism is not our fault or our responsibility to solve. Sometimes you can't find what you need at a price you can afford from a local and ethical source. But amazon should be the last resort, not first choice

I love the back mouse in the donkey making sure they get to be seen too!

I should have taken another picture after someone (else?) added googly eyes. It was simultaneously even more creepy and hilarious

That's so charming. Thank you

The PAST racist behaviour is bad, but it's honestly not the aspect of that man and that party that bothers me the most...

I think ice-cream AND a pancake are called for. That way nobody has to miss out

My thoughts exactly. I certainly hope that 'forever' is a lot longer than 1 month. I've made plans for next year.

That sounds believable

And then there are the ones that basically admit that what they'd ordered was wrong for what they wanted to do, but still give the product 1 star. Not helpful 🤨

I admit I'm sad that the packing of my copy won't have been overseen by Squidlaped, Helga et al, but I recognise that I'll get my copy faster if it's sent within the UK

Not Tesco any more (boo!) but Waitrose carry it
November 9, 2025 at 9:54 AM
That's my Christmas present to me sorted!
November 9, 2025 at 9:30 AM
I can understand that. Actual pineapple is too acidic and pineapple flavouring too sweet to balance nicely with marzipan. Although, in general, I am all in favour of marzipan alone or with stuff. Especially boozy stuff

They've certainly forgotten that "never again" was a central plank of the original remembrance observations
