I know what you mean, (both on liking feeling weird and the intended meaning of the like!), and thank you.

I'm doubly old still at the moment, because I STILL can't get over prices down here after Scotland, PLUS how much everything costs now compared to ten years ago.

There are places you can get them in Dundee! Although they don't look quite like that...!

Yes it's really confusing if you recognise the locations! The various houses are mashed together from all over the country, which doesn't help. Although the exterior of the Bridgerton house is in Greenwich - not Mayfair, but at least actually London!

It's set in London, where the social season in this period (and either side of it) is spring to summer. Summer in the country is mid August onwards, with hunting etc following in the autumn (still in the country, or in Scotland for people with links/estates there!). Roughly matches parliament.

Most of mine don't - there's usually one or two per class, but it is often the more mature or most game-oriented students who may be familiar. I teach games mostly to non games studies students, however, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I hate that as a concept so much. All of the phonics terminology is such a nightmare...

I don't know what the current status is of the WCCUK small grants scheme, but you could look into that?

It's not a nice relaxing game to start a Sunday, is it?!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend otherwise!

ICCTV - the app or website work!

Yes although they're making it a bit stressful to watch...!

Oh I hadn't realised 😂. I signed up to the app for something and then I keep getting all these Cornell bird project emails...!

There's a really good app from Cornell for bird identification and also they run various projects etc of tracking or observing stuff across the year, which might be worth a look!

It tends to vary quite a lot by institution, although in general there's been a move across the board in the UK to be a bit more formal about supervision, and to avoid students disappearing entirely for years on end, which has made more places introduce monthly or two-monthly meeting reqs.
