More than ten years gone, and sometimes I just want to text my mom still. She wasn’t even alive for TikToks and there are TikTok’s I’d send her if I could. And I know she’d hate TikTok.

Grief never leaves. Once it rivers through you, there’s a canyon where a plain used to be. Ain’t no going back.

Was listening to Turn Down For What this morning because it’s been stuck in my head for the past few days, and I appreciated Spotify giving me the lyrics just in case I forgot any of them

Alongside "who built Hadrian's wall?", another great example of knowledge falling foul of 'common understanding' is scurvy.

The Royal Navy discovered the cure for scurvy, won the Napoleonic War, humanity then lost that knowledge without realising, then got saved by two Norwegian guinea pigs 🧵 /1

Someone was surprised to learn that I yeet bugs out instead of *gently relocating* them.

I appreciate the gesture. But in the tropics, seeing bugs where they shouldn't be is an hourly—not weekly thing. You learn what can survive a yeet to save time.

In this thread I'm rating animal yeetability.
