Props to Charles for digging in here.
Va Gov. Glenn Youngkin vetoed the bill to advance small solar projects that would've avoided farm, forestland, and had broad support.

His move calls into question his stance on truly being an "all of the above" energy guy.

I admire Dave's restraint.

Another thought:

"News is something powerful people do not want you to see. Everything else is marketing."

The photos on the front page of a once-treasured news operation are a gross mischaraterization of Sunday's events, prototypical of 21st century access journalism.
Disappointing to see @richmond.com keep the story of Gov. Youngkin getting booed mercilessly yesterday in Richmond by hundreds of demonstrators at the 250th anniversary of the "Liberty or Die" speech off its front page. That's a revealing editorial choice, and a frank disservice to readers.

Even the Governor admits in this story that there isn’t a 1:1 match for a lot of fired feds.
But instead of him and the AG fighting for those feds to keep their jobs by suing the administration like Maryland’s AG is doing with his Governor’s support, he tells them, ehh, try something else.

For the last two months, we’ve been saying the 250K available jobs in Virginia isn’t the same as a 1:1 match for skillsets, pay & benefits of federal workers who are being fired, often illegally.
Both administrations need to fight for our feds — but they won’t.

Youngkin says Virginia has jobs for fired feds. Many come with big pay cuts.
The governor touts 250,000 jobs available in Virginia to the thousands of highly paid laid-off federal workers — but many of those private-sector jobs are low-paid.

When the Governor uses CEO-talk like “Striving to gain efficiencies” and “what comes with that is dislocation,” he’s using what George Carlin called “soft language,” when “the pain is completely buried under jargon.”

He’s okay with the President firing you to save money. That’s it.
