For me that's up there with shows/movies where a character is written to have multiple PhDs as a way to signal that they are really, really smart.

Shortly after college a white coworker harassed me for weeks after hearing I went to Brown, asking to see my writing and grades. All because her nephew, who got a "great" SAT score and went to a fancy school, didn't get in.

Without affirmative action, who will they blame when they get rejected?
