I'm just so proud of how forward-thinking and open minded he is, and has always been. Grateful for him.

I just had this conversation with a friend shopping for her SIL. She wanted the perfect thing and I reminded her that most gifts are used for a day, a week, and put aside. Even the good gifts. It's okay to pick something close enough.

Just need the young folks to be open to it, to help them with getting out and connecting with real people.

The movie theater experience should be a simple joy, but it can't be that anymore for far too many. Or it could, but the corporations running the places won't let it be simple. (I feel so very fortunate to have indies I love and wish everyone could share in that.)

I saw a great IG post from an indigenous man this morning, but of course now it's gone. But he was discussing the idea of providing and protection, what they mean, who should be provided for and protected (community), and how to find purpose in that. So sad I can't find it now.
