Women are given less opportunity than men. I worked for years as a commercial real estate appraiser. About 80 percent in the field were men. I used to hate that I was called a "woman appraiser" and the men were just appraisers. Women are held back just because of their gender from birth.

It is an above the line deduction. If a person has taxable income they will be paying less in taxes on the tips that are exempt.

A single person working full time in California makes at least $16.50 an hour or $34,320 per year before tips. They are already in the 12% tax bracket before tips.

That is not correct. It is an above-the-line deduction that phases out if income is over $150,000 for a single person.

We all received a political statement supporting the bill that the republicans passed. The bill they passed only gives seniors a temporary tax deduction for three years.

The bill does nothing to shore up social security. We are still looking at huge reductions in benefits in about ten years
