Moral of the story! Access to justice matters, legal services matter to make DC services work. DC residents can’t access basic DC services without lawyers & we need to fully fund ATJ services.

Ok tearing up hearing my former client share her story about how she fought for her children with the help of @childrenslawcenter.org & they graduated hs & college. Rarely get to hear the long term story from our work.

So many powerful client testimonials today talking about legal services changed their lives not just w/law but with social services, employment & more. Kept ppl off the streets, safely housed, educated, away from abusers, out of jail, and more. Legal services is an investment in public safety.
