Right?!? I'm so glad to not wake up every day with a new Editor assignment (or more). I still have to handle revisions through December 2026 (or beyond), so not quite done yet... but getting closer!

Thanks for all of your amazing work on the Special Issue! I'm so excited for it to be wrapping up and getting out into the world. Such amazing papers!

I will especially miss interacting with all of the many reviewers and authors, and will miss the amazing team at @apajournals.bsky.social, who have supported me in so many ways. I look forward to the future of the journal under the Editorship of Dr. William Corbin. The journal is in good hands. 🙏

It was fun to shape the direction of the journal, including the opportunity to publish special issues and sections, with a banger of a special issue in progress led by @jonasdora.bsky.social @kevinmking.bsky.social @andreahoward.bsky.social @andreawycoff.bsky.social @jtwaddell7.bsky.social.

I accepted over 430 papers during my term, many widely cited and will continue to have a massive impact of the field. My favorite papers have been either methods focused, such as psycnet.apa.org/doiLanding?d... @aaronjfisher.bsky.social
Or focused on health equity in understudied populations.

I have so much gratitude for the tremendous efforts of @kevinmking.bsky.social who brilliantly led the charge to bring open science to the journal. And I was so thrilled when we accepted our first registered report by @joshuagrubbsphd.bsky.social psycnet.apa.org/record/2022-...

Starting my term as Editor just before the start of the pandemic and wrapping it up in the science/AI hellscape of 2025 has been a wild ride. I am so thankful for my amazing AE team @kevinmking.bsky.social @jenmerrillphd.bsky.social @james-g-murphy.bsky.social and others not on bluesky.

I started as a Consulting Editor for PAB (2006-2013) and then had the opportunity to serve as Associate Editor (2013-2019) under the leadership of the late great Nancy Petry. I took over as Editor in 2020. I will continue wrapping up articles in 2026, thus 20 years of service to the journal.

Thanks for sharing what this looks like. I was curious and hate it all so much. This weird multiverse we are all living in... Glad to hear you have so many others in the hopper - fingers crossed!
