Great article about my wonderful friend @katiewardwriter.bsky.social in the EADT on Saturday. Have highlighted a couple of my fave bits #Ipswich #Shakespeare
I can also warmly recommend Katie's novel #Pathways 📙 - and if you're interested in writing yourself, #WolseyWriters is a fab place to start

Our first #WolseyWriters collab w/ #Ipswich Book Festival was amazing. THANK YOU to our awesome guest speaker David Wright (aka The Breaducator) author of Breaking Bread. David’s talk inspired the group to try their own book pitches and reflective nonfiction. #suffolk #booksky #creativewriting
Baker and author David Wright signing a copy of Breaking Bread. He wears a red cap and pale shirt. He gestures 'about this much' with one hand. Copies of Breaking Bread for sale and some Ipswich Book Festival tote bags. Wolsey Writers, a creative writing group that meets upstairs at New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich in the upstairs lounge bar. People busy writing. A man in a blue suit buying a copy of Breaking Bread from Ipswich Book Festival volunteers. He pays using contactless. The volunteers wear red t-shirts.

You can see another monthly #Shakespeare recommendation on my Instagram - or below.
The 25th of Oct is St Crispin's Day so I chose Henry V (although I'm actually more interested in whether a diplomatic marriage can also be a love match).

I had a brilliant afternoon teaching a workshop at @writerscentre.bsky.social Norwich with an excellent group of creative writers. Our theme was dialogue, and how what characters say may not be exactly what they mean. Everyone worked incredibly hard.

I wish we could've spent longer on this topic 💙📚
