Because they both wanted Trudeau to leave...and stay? And they want the carbon tax gone but not like that? Cause finding new one-note slogans is hard? When you move the goalposts this much, the field ends up full of holes.

You’re absolutely right about it needing to get uncomfortable. I’d rather that happen sooner than later, so that people start caring enough to DO SOMETHING.
