Any yeast people or evolutionary biologists who can help me untangle a semantic conundrum?

In a yeast sexual cycle, two haploid cells fuse to form a diploid zygote. If one of the haploids has an endosymbiont (say, a plasmid), which the zygote inherits, is this vertical or horizontal transmission?
