On the White House’s WIC plan, we’re not supposed to have a system in which a president can:

- impose his own tax without Congress

- create his own pile of money that Congress never approved

- allocate funds, at his discretion, to whichever cause he deems fit, without Congress

White House announces radical new plan to allocate tariff revenue without Congress

The Constitution gives Congress what’s known as the “power of the purse.” When Trump tries to claim he has his own purse, there’s a problem.

There are other reasons why younger electeds can be preferable, but as an old person I can tell you: a remaining year for an old person feels like 3-5 years did when we were younger. IOW, each remaining year is that much more precious. So the old guys are gonna feel the loss just the same.

Ugh, I need to have this done. I'm putting it off until I get my second knee replaced in December. I put off getting the 1st knee done for 15 years (until June) because I was afraid of how much it would hurt. Spoiler: it was at least as bad as I feared. So I'm sure the nose surgery will be as bad.
