Book 8 for June. The taking of Jake Livingston is a gorey queer horror. Had a few TWs to be aware of but overall a good book!

Finished Full Speed to a Crash Landing and the second book today. I have a few weeks wait on the final book. They were cute and I kinda don't want to wait for number 3.

Sad girl acting like we didn't just play with that ball for 45 minutes

Just finished This World is Not Yours. It was a scratch on the itch of needing more of this genre! Very short chapters and it was fun needing to look up and few words!

You are gonna see how far you've come rather than how far there is left to go."

I love scifi! Especially when it has queer characters. I am happy to see a turn in representation in books.

Last one for the night, I've been busy this weekend but it makes for good listening time.

This book was one in a long series of books that helped me realize how little I really know. I've never understood the division in the lgbt+ community when it comes to our trans people, this answered a lot.

It took a second for me to realize this came after his other book, There,There. It was nice to have a fuller story and some of the aftermath from book 1. Tommy Orange was one of the first native authors I read when opening the bookshop.

I finished They Never Learn on Saturday and I think I'm on a roll with 5 star books. I love seeing representation of bi characters, I also love a story that allows for vicariously living out vengeance!

I loved these and cannot wait for more! Becky Chambers has such a beautiful message. Both books are super short, which is my only complaint.

Cold Eternity was released yesterday! I was so excited to get it from libby! I LOVE scifi and have been waiting for months to read this!

Finished Countdown 1960. It's crazy how the same things happen across decades of elections.

We look back and think of how much has changed, but has it really?

Finished Kills Well with Others last night. I struggled to get into it, but found it enjoyable in the end.

I think my tastes in books is changing again. This book is exactly what I asked for a few years ago.

Don't judge me for this one! The beginning was dark AF, but the scifi was surprisingly good. The smut was hilarious, I will be reading the next one. Also, how did I not know there are 8 books in this series?

I am behind on the book updates. So I'm posting 2 today. I finished Desperate Glory yesterday. I hated it for the first but was in love with this book by the end. Scifi, time shifts, some queer self discovery. What's not to love?

Bia loves her new bed.

I just finished The Small and the Mighty. It took a second to get into it, she switched up stories in order to tie them together a lot.
It was a great read, I cried, and laughed and love her ending thoughts.

You cannot change the mind of your enemies without talking to them.

I finished thriller by Don Bruns and Sisters of the Lost Nation over the weekend. Both were good books, but Sisters touched closer to home for me when the news about Emily Pike broke.
If you don't already follow MMIWG, now is a great time to start!

I had a tough time with Freedom's Dominion but it was another step towards learning our history and self education. Explains the switching of the 2 parties and Alabama history of using states rights to segregate and create prison labor.
