There is no reforming the gestapo. There is no reforming the slave catchers.
People that are talking about ICE’s “training” or that they need more should not be listened to. This is what policing is. More training = more money to do exactly what they’re doing now but more “efficiently.”

Will never forget the brave trans kids speaking so bravely, so beautifully, about their fears and concerns growing up here as the state passes draconian, dehumanizing, laws against those children, specifically.

I view Joe Manchin as one of the more perniciously spoiler politicians and would argue that pandering to people like him, while effective rarely, slides us backwards more than it gets us ahead. I think people are right to feel that a system geared towards eeking concession from him has failed.

I continue to be moved by images of people walking toward those whom they’re expected to cower from.
Both the movement veterans, and the new folks who rush into the streets in their pajamas. The long-time organizer, and the “not-very-political” neighbor who now carries a whistle at all times.
