I find a lot of games "support" ultrawide in the sense that the 3D graphics do, but elements like the menu and HUD don't and are stretched (found this out with Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands)

I'm in a similar boat. I find that the larger glut of a fanbase are neat to talk with but rarely do you get any meaningful and insightful exchanges. The big one I did make in a Dragon Ball forum I have held onto and we talk a LOT outside of the original forum context we met in.

Possibly! I always found them most useful for PS2 games where you'd often be able to manually set the zoom. Of course they're handy nowadays too when downscaling!
