#OtD 15 Apr 1946 mine workers in Takahagi, Japan, won the right to sell coal directly after taking over their mines. Instead of striking, Japanese workers started takeovers after which they'd negotiate with management on their demands, and usually win stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/8637...
