Say the nice things. Tell the people who have made a difference in your life that they have. One of my friends and mentors passed away today. We had plans to go skiing this season but life had other plans. I'm so sad. Looking back at our last text chain, I'm thankful that I happened to tell them.

Was thinking about how poets can arrange words like some people arrange flowers. The art of the placement of a comma, and how the sounds of one word pair with another. Maybe this is why I've been rearranging a section trying to find the beauty in tiny details. #amwriting #writingcommunity

Where are your favorite places to write?
Any tips for breaking a facebook habit? I don't curate anything or block and it shows me the weirdest ads, which helps me not want to spend much time on it. I deleted it from my phone and only see it on my computer sporadically. It's blocked on my browser on my phone as well.

Someone needs to research horse girls and what percentage bite compared to girls who are not into horses. I went to a literary lunch today with some great gals and this question came up because many were into horses and I may have done a poll bc I'm weird. #writermusings #writingcommunity

I feel bad for the author using a publicist who sent me an AI-generated email without a clear ask. Not sure it's real. I worry about missing emails from actual people. They weren't trying to sell me something, my guess is they wanted a blurb. Sometimes it just sounds like noise. #writercommunity

Do you miss NaNoWriMo? Regardless of the problems with the org, it was the worst possible timing for writing a novel with Turkey Day, travel and family obligations for me. I was never a fan of binge writing in November instead of finding a healthy writing rhythm. I was never happy with the results.

AI is supposed to make things faster but maybe it leads to second guessing and a lack of confidence, for writers? Some folks think it can write better than they can, and instead of working on their craft and trusting their human voice, they trust AI more than themselves. #amwriting #writingcommunity

Hey writers, what do you do after writing about trauma? Today I wrote about a difficult topic. I always advise clients to take some time for self-care after writing like this. Take a bath, go for a walk, talk to a friend, reach out to your therapist, etc. #amwriting #writingcommunity

Sometimes I write oddly political #poems about rage gardening. #amwriting #booksky "I deadhead the pink peonies... Blast away the seeds from the honey locust tree and the ant hills on the pavers with my leaf blower. My landscaping will be perfect. This one little piece of America will be perfect."

A writer at a loss for words and a former journalist who won't turn away from the news, I have turned to rage gardening. Pulling weeds and donating to the ACLU. There's a metaphor in there somewhere, and I suppose, worse coping mechanisms. #amnotwriting

So FB has suspended my account, giving me 180 days to appeal. Anyone else had this happen? What did you do? Would my life be better without it anyway? It was nice having an account as an author. #writingcommunity
