Cognitive Dissonance was definitely one of my top favorites as well. I had a revelation for sure learning about it because as you said, it explains why we justify things we know are wrong. #UTcommtheory

Communication evolving is indeed the most interesting thisng about it. It's one of the few things within human behavior that never goes "out of style" as a whole. That in itself is fascinating. #UTcommtheory

Agreed. I think it's interesting how people only think there's an agenda being pushed if its something that they don't agree with (often conservatism). However, things they like are included in that too. #UTcommtheory

This example is great because it is probably the most talked about subject across all classes. I listened to other students saying that they never even thought about the good that could come from AI usage. #UTcommtheory

#UTcommtheory Disney is a great example. I would argue that (traditionally) Disney just reinforced the gender roles that already existed. However, they have become less socially conservative throughout the years.

Disney is probably the epitome of this topic. They certainly do a good job at promoting family orientation. I like that you brought up how they simplify cultures for global audiences because I would argue they do more harm than good in that sense. #UTcommtheory

Lol I have been there. So embarrassing in the moment, but funny looking back. I love that you connected a funny memory because it helped me to further understand. #UTcommtheory

#UTcommtheory this is such a valid point! As a writing nerd, it's disheartening hearing that people automatically equate correct grammar and proper punctuation with AI.

This is such an interesting answer because I also relate. Being a minority as well, I too often avoid talking about certain social issues to avoid the awkwardness. I totally understand where you are coming from 🫂

This is hilarious! Definitely top 10 worst feelings in my life currently. #UTcommtheory

This is a valid point. We as a society have seen the effects of this. I believe it has contributed more harmful effects than helpful. This has developed us into a robotic society when it comes to working jobs. As you mentioned, time off actually contributes to productivity.

I think that decision making approach can definitely be effective when used correctly. It is thoughtful of you to make sure that everyone understands the message. I have experienced managers who didn't have these skills to lead effectively.
