Am I the only one who feels uncomfortable seeing academic institutions, universities, departments continuing to post about their achievements/announcements on Twitter/X pretending as if nothing has changed? Echoes of #BLM in 2022 when some orgs felt it was better to pretend nothing had changed.

Sincere question for educators and parents who think students with disabilities with IEP’s will be fine with no Dept. of Ed because the states will take care of it. Who do you think is responsible when the states violate the law? Because they do. Regularly. And it’s bad WITH oversight.

As we brace for the effects of the incoming administration… imbedding inclusive practices into our general education classrooms is more important than ever. The system cannot continue to depend on special education teams to try and “fix” the kids. We have to fix the system.
