It's definitely a commitment, especially for me since I like to try and keep reading sessions to chapters, but I think there's a ~75 page chapter in there. But it's so good you won't regret it.

I have been. I spent all of 2024 basically just going through The Power Broker and now I'm picking my way through the LBJ books. Once I'm done with my current gap book I'll get to book 2

Not just the road but why a pedestrian might find their self on that road. What if a bus drops you off there? What are you supposed to do?

Definitely forgot about the Dodgers and Giants, but the Angels at 4.3 are still noticeably below the average. I guess it's mostly that California has so many teams, some of them are bound to stand out in some way.

I think right now it's so easy to hate AI and easy to see all the bad things it's done and can do that people tune out some critical thinking and/or only interact with LLMs in the form of some browser application.
Just dismissing them as fundamentally bad will cause you to miss both the good and bad

But where I am now, with lots of apartment complexes mixed in with single family developments, it's just not great because all the complexes are islands with no sidewalks to connect them. If I want a long run I have to drive to a good spot for a long run.
