I'm waiting for a train at EWR and can currently see 5 information screens. 4 of those are just showing ads and only one actually has the arrival info. I would hope that NJ Transit is at least making good money off of this but somehow I doubt that

Decided to watch Prey as the perfect intersection of a horror movie for October and Indigenous People's Day (though we couldn't find the Comanche version) and boy does it live up to the hype.

The EWR station really needs giant posters explaining what an NJ Transit train looks like, and what an Amtrak train looks like

It's weird how, as a runner, you (or at least I) need either very little suburban sprawl or a lot of it and the in between is just awful. In a nice walkable urban core with parks, you can run forever without retreading too much. But huge, labyrinthine housing developments kinda off the same thing!

James Gunn did the bold thing, the brave thing, the right thing.
He set Metropolis in Delaware.

My fiance took me to the oldest (and uninterrupted!) 4th of July Parade in the country. Bristol, Rhode Island, a really cool town.

Someone over on reddit has done a great job scaling down the debt to more "human readable" numbers and I thinks it's fantastic. Go and take a look for yourself:

my endorsement for any democratic presidential candidate who promises to send the entire DOGE team to prison
This is insane and everyone involved needs to be sued into oblivion and then go directly to jail

Some wild guests on the Daily today who spent nearly an hour arguing the initial response to covid (lock downs, masking, etc.) was flawed and irresponsible because too much power was put in the hands of experts who were too focused on minimizing human death.

I wonder what events of the next few years will make it to the Watchmen-style "The Times They are a Changin'" montage. There will be some pretty stiff competition
