At one grandmother's house, the dishwasher was used to store paper bags, because it sorted them out so neatly. Foil and Saran Wrap etc. on the upper level, for the same reason. Seemed normal-ish to us at the time.

And the next goal is "...to the whims of an employer *or any corporation*." We should own our own identities, including pseudonyms for different spheres of our lives, should we choose.

Back in the old days, I found that servers responded to offerings of scotch (decent - no need to get fancy) and chocolate. Set them before the needy infrastructure and walk away. Somehow it always seemed to improve things.....
