Except you are drawing that comparison. You are saying because of Bondi, you can't have this particular writer speak. You are saying that her statements about the rights of Palestinians are somehow going to be more hurtful because of a mass casualty event that she had nothing to do with.

Genius. How have I never heard this before?!
“Misery” is a frightening horror movie and it’s also, not that anyone talks about this enough, a perverse inversion of “The Princess Bride.” Both screenplays were written by William Goldman, and both are about making demands of a storyteller. But in “Misery” the author is the one who is bedridden and the audience makes extremely unreasonable demands. (Try to imagine Savage torturing Falk on his deathbed, just to force him to make up a sequel to “The Princess Bride” that aligns with his fan theories — that’s “Misery” for you.)

Hmmm, I don't think this is right? Pennywise with his silver-dollar eyes is not really depicted as harmless. Obviously the new movies/TV show ups the scary makeup, but the book doesn't pretend that the clown is supposed to be a neutral figure. IT depicts the children's fears.
I will go to my grave screaming about how Pennywise being a clown hits completely different for anyone under 40 or 50, because the original intent was that Pennywise LOOKED HARMLESS, because “IT” predates scary clowns, & if the story were modern, Pennywise would manifest as a ninja turtle or Luffy

I stopped using Menulog a few years ago (I try not to use any food delivery apps, if I can) because there were multiple occasions when food was not picked up from restaurants and Menulog did not help/respond. In one case, I did the pick up myself, which is what I tend to do now anyway.

I find it super gross to use the word "bisexual" when you're talking about reaching across the aisle to work with people who hate the LGBTQI+ community. It's particularly distasteful coming from a trans politician, using queer language to articulate a centrist position.
