I have also officially started a new role in implementation science, working w @imp-sci-saraha.bsky.social on their NIHR Advanced Fellowship project. Opioid SMART aims to reduce opioid prescribing in primary care with a Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomised Trial (SMART).

Last week, I officially finished my one year White Rose ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship!🎉

The Fellowship provided unique opportunity to consolidate my PhD work further, which focuses on behavioural sciences and people w Lynch syndrome (who are at higher cancer risk), and acquire further training.

- Patients also reported being underprepared for post surgery recovery.

- Surgeons welcomed more standard measurements to guide decision-making.

- Need for a decision aid for patients to enable shared decision-making and help to provide optimal patient experience of the treatments.

Aimed to understand healthcare professionals’ and patients’ views & experiences of septoplasty and medical management for nasal obstruction.

Findings:
- Most patients seemed to experience symptom relief from septoplasty, however;
- There was also varied individual experiences.
