Cincinnatian. I love tennis, snowboarding, women's basketball, and volunteering with Citizens Climate Lobby. Check us out at citizensclimatelobby.org!
Yeah he has quite the history. Stealing a car, driving high, getting into a confrontation with a police officer that ends with him dead, then falsely accuses a man of rape and murder. Then gets a taste of his own medicine as others testify (falsely?) he was harrassing the victim before her murder.

With events like Cincinnati's, which was a rally and not a march, we had a section for organizations to have booths. Great opp to for people to join an organization or learn about what various non-profits are doing in the city on issues they care about. I had a lot of great conversations!

She did (seriously) claim Australia caused world war 3 a few years ago due to their covid practices, so I can see why they are upset. She loves to incite people on both sides.

I could not wait for the reveal at the end of the match. So fun!

Cool! What is the class topic, like is it some sort of political or current issues class?

My friend read the entire Harry Potter series despite not liking them- she gave them 2/5 stars on goodreads except for the 4th one, which she gave 3. I asked her why- she said she read them because they're a cultural phenomenon. I cannot imagine spending my precious free time on earth doing that!

I am not a fan of the Trump administration, but this seems hyperbolic. I went to the website and we still rank fairly high, and above all those countries listed in the caption, so that was misleading.

The new gender testing is more for males who are competing in womens sports who have disorders of sexual development and incorrectly assigned female at birth. Many males with 5-ARD have competed in the Olympics and won medals. It isn't really about transgender athletes.

Yeah UConn "continues to win" as well. Except that time they had to reschedule a game due to lack of healthy players 😆
April 1, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Well, they won when expected, so that's all they can do. UConn had a ton of injuries the last couple of years, so they're no stranger to being in that position. Nice to see them pretty healthy this year.

I really hope they can get a win for Paige's last year!

And likely the babysitter, too!

I mean look at how hardcore sporting orgs are about drug testing and banning those for doping the smallest amount. Just imagine being Melissa Bishop and training your butt off just to get 4th place at the Rio Olympics to at least one but likely three males on the podium. I'd be pissed!
March 26, 2025 at 1:01 AM
Perhaps I worded that poorly. As an example, Caster Semenya was incorrectly assigned female at birth due to having 5-alpha reductase deficiency (5-ARD)

Females have turner, males have klinefelter. I don't think there's any dispute about that.
March 25, 2025 at 9:26 PM
Because women would no longer get to play and we'd be back on the 1950s. Besides, the male competition is the best athletes, when it comes to the Olympic and pro levels. So you are getting that.
March 25, 2025 at 9:00 PM
I don't see why this should not be a priority for World Athletics given the number of males that have competed in the women's category with DSDs.
March 25, 2025 at 8:59 PM
This rule isn't really about trans people, hopefully you can find an article about it that isn't paywalled. It's more about males with disorders of sexual development who incorrectly believe they're female. There's more of them than you think in top levels of women's sports like track
March 25, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Can you give an example?
March 25, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Actually it looks like this is being done more for the complications from disorders of sexual development like 5-ARD that cause some males to be incorrectly labeled female at birth. Then they go through male puberty and do very well at sports, like Caster Semenya. She has XY chromosomes

It's a dna test though a cheek swab, not a genital inspection
March 25, 2025 at 8:46 PM
They probably don't need to do it as often? DNA doesn't change 🙂
