We’ve quite messed things up in past years I can’t imagine what it was like back then with 3 billion more birds. Glad we’re making steps in the right direction at least!

Today’s #birdoftheday is a Kestrel. This Northern American male Kestrel loves to haunt the saltwater marsh by me, resulting in hours of killdeer screams. Haunting! #birds

This small falcon is actually perched on top of a school right now. There is an elementary school next to a garden and a saltwater marsh.

OK, I could be totally wrong, but this has happened to me before and I’ve discovered it to be a chipmunk freaking out. Sounds kinda like a cardinal on speed that’s really mad? Merlin just like whirls trying to figure out what’s going on.
