In my completely unbiased opinion as a former WSU student, it's very good cheese (that's supposed to keep safely aging when kept refrigerated in its unopened tin).

Use only water or fresh air on tear gas or pepper spray.

No milk, vinegar, antacids, urine, etc. and especially not in eye.

Thank me later,

A billion dollars is the socio-political equivalent of a loose nuke, and we should work as ruthlessly and diligently to prevent the acquisition of the former as we do the latter.

“The problem with billionaires isn’t that they’re hoarding money that would otherwise pay for a Scandinavian social utopia. It’s that their money has become a source of wildly distorted political power that allows a few men with extremist views to wreak havoc on the rest of us.”

ME: Now Mom, just remember, there's a lot of disinformation and Al in your social feed and your friends' Facebook.
MOM: I know! My friend sent me this crazy post where someone used Al to make an image of a giant frog fighting Army troops!
ME: ... okay, no, that one's ... goddamit, Portland.

As I've said before, FDA recalls are broad for even the suspicion of contamination. This is what they're supposed to do and it's a thankless task. The goal isn't to terrify people, but you need those things off the shelf.

I'm glad Paris put this round up together for folks. Been waiting for it.

after the 10th radioactive shrimp recall in 7 weeks, i decided to do some digging

little did i know it would lead me to an underreported industrial accident that may have released an airborne plume of radioactive debris over swaths of indonesia

Here’s the latest on how shrimp and spices got contaminated with cesium-137, how the FDA has responded, and why consumers should not panic.

Still up to some fibre art shenanigans. I was hoping to get this and another piece done way earlier, but they may end up being solstice presents for some family members.

Back when I took Ornithology we were at the [turkey vultures having a sense of smell is a outlier for birds] stage, and seeing the sniffer bird category get expanded via new research since then is always neat.

Just to be clear, an English degree - learning to critically assess texts - is actually one of the most dangerous for people such as Badenoch.

An educated population, able to bring hundreds of years of context to statements in a dawning age of AI slop and attention-seeking dishonesty is also vital.
bearlypolitics.co.uk
So, the plan is to cut English, the arts, and sociology - the degrees that actually study culture - while on another part of your platform claiming to “defend” British culture.

It’s performance nationalism with a reading age of seven.
Badenoch: Curb students taking 'rip-off' degrees such as English
The performing arts, sociology and anthropology are among the subjects the Conservatives would like to cut

sociology and anthropology are dangerous to them, because those fields help us understand the power dynamics, ethics, and human cost of what the industries they like better are doing.
Performing arts is hugely important for the economy, but it doesn't benefit them directly.

Badenoch and Co see education only as a means to a massive income in some soul destroying career.

Devoid of imagination and the power of knowledge they view life entirely through the prism of the CV.

My advice always is to study what interests you and the rest will follow

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I came back from a trip at the end of Sept to a yard tree that looked transplanted from PDX. The questionably damp high desert (even if you're farther from the Rio Grande) of the past month maybe helped alongside the cooler temperatures.
Tree trunk that is entirely too covered by green growth.
