Creates beautiful pie with a nice tidy crust--and I still do have to work to get the crust pretty.

Lets cool.

Covers with foil to slide into fridge.

Clumsily gouges one whole edge of the crust off on the shelf above...

Which is heavier, a gallon of water or a gallon of butane?

A gallon of water.

A gallon of butane is a lighter fluid.

Counter proposal: Prison for everyone involved in the management and legal chain who was involved in arguing that they aren't liable for a teenager's death on account of "terms of service"
“OpenAI’s court filing argued that the harms in this case were at least partly caused by Raine’s ‘failure to heed warnings, obtain help, or otherwise exercise reasonable care,’ as well as the ‘failure of others to respond to his obvious signs of distress.’”
OpenAI denies allegations that ChatGPT is to blame for a teenager's suicide
Adam Raine's family sued the AI company in August. On Tuesday, OpenAI said in a new court filing that it isn't responsible for the teen's death.

Öttër's right... I was bummed to have to use bagged pecans from somewhere this year, but you win some you lose some. Tried them and they're not bad, so hopefully w/ the eggs and bourbon and everything the pie is still good ( :
My pecan pie take: there is so much variance between a terrible one (old nuts, or too one-note sugary, or over baked) and an actual good one (pastry made by someone who knows how to, proper texture, good fresh pecans), and lots of people have had terrible pecan pies that they swore off them forever

... actually in thinking about it, the blockchain is a great metaphor here.

You can waste a lot of money on it and it solves a problem nobody actually had

You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who’s coming to save you?

...Hang on, am I getting rescued by Geo. Washington and his army? Or by, like, Ken Burns and a couple historians?

Three horrifying deaths squarely on the shoulders of anti-vaccine parents and the anti-vaccine propaganda engine that enables them.

Get your Tdap shots. Get your boosters if you're out of date. And get your kids vaccinated--let me be clear--whether or not you think they're personally at risk.

Okay! One (1) pecan pie in the oven for us, plus one (1) to give away

I always forget just how much bigger a real pie pan is than a grocery store deep dish ... I kinda want to make the filling for my next one of these 1/3 again bigger and see if it fits (and see if it ever finishes baking...)

Senator Mark "Armed Services Committee" Kelly has an opportunity to do something really funny right now
Senator Kelly’s remarks in the video are “a 100% accurate representation of what the law says."

“No American citizen should have to deal with this type of preposterous investigation.”

I think I agree with Tom on this one--let SECTRANS worry about safety and capability, and let the old curmudgeons tell people how they should or shouldn't dress...
I wish Secretary Duffy would concentrate on keeping the skies safe and leave the moral hectoring to me. I'm better at it.
Sean Duffy: "Dressing with respect -- whether it's a pair of jeans and a decent shirt, I would encourage people to maybe dress a little better which encourages us to maybe behave a little better. Let's try not to wear slippers and pajamas as we come to the airport."
