Long-term risk: By middle school (ask @dobieATX @burnetms or @webbwildcats053) there is no option to test in Spanish & insufficient English vocab leads to deficits. No one holds @AISDMultilingue or the LPACs accountable. @teainfo #literacy #BilingualEd 5/5

The trend suggests dual-language focus or its overall approach to bilingual ed for EB/EL kids might delay English mastery without boosting academics. Kids aren't gaining in content areas and face "linguistic limbo"—stuck without full proficiency in any language. 4/5

Students testing in Spanish lag far behind: In 2025, only 13% met standards vs. 35% for English testers. This gap has persisted (e.g., 19% Spanish vs. 41% English in 2022), yet Spanish testing keeps expanding. 3/5

For a real eye-opener on the scope of the USAID welfare program.

1. Run a keyword search via datarepublican.com
Ex. "Elections."
2. Find a Non-Profit
Ex, "Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening"
3. Go to Guidestar to find NP &
pull-up 990
5. Check salaries v. grants given 😳
Exposing where the money flows
Tracking where the money goes

So, SoR is key b/c 75% of words follow the rules, and other 25% can be taught/memorized in a 1,000 fluency word program. Plus any teacher of any experience level can run it efficiently and effectively.  This is key.🔑 3/

SoR alone isn’t enough. English is a phonetic language, but professional linguists est. ~ 25% of English words DO NOT follow a phonetic pattern or are pronounced differently from how they are spelled. However, many of these are common words (eg who, what, where, etc). 2/

What do a few thousand child rapes matter if you’re maintaining social order and keeping ethnic resentments at bay?

It’s more than rising housing costs. The steady rise in homelessness, not associated with lack of affordable housing which is the majority, (& all the negatives that come with it) and higher local taxes with no visible benefits should hurt elected Dems who overwhelmingly control blue urban centers.
