I watched Christmas Lodge tonight for the first time.Although it's a day late, it helped me find some Christmas spirit. Thank you

The legacy I’ll leave is whatever I’ve done
To touch other souls or even just one
Made their life better or just made them smile
Dreams are the things that make life worthwhile

So really, the time I spent chasing my dreams
Wasn’t as wasted as it all seems
When it’s my time to go, I’ll leave as I came
Merely a soul with only a name

Yet had I decided to follow that path
I do not see how I’d work out the math
My dreams would still call from way in the back
Telling me happiness is still what I lack

I could say I deserve it for all my hard work
Just claim the excess is merely a perk
While telling my workers that their pay is fair
Since that’s the same rate they’d get anywhere

I could have made money exploiting the masses
Ignoring their plight through rose colored glasses
I could justify the greed with token donations
And photo opportunities to top heavy foundations

Perhaps I’d get an office with a wonderful view
First class accommodations with room service, too
People who hang on my every word
Take care of my bidding, no matter how absurd

We’re taught to be hateful of those not like us
To all coexist is just treasonous
But no matter our own simple birthplace
We are all members of the same human race

It would also be nice to see us join hands
Crossing the borders of all the world’s lands
With all of our differences, we’re all still the same
Caught in the trap of a dangerous game

Some smiles for those who have none to spare
A smile costs nothing to give and to share
Maybe some hope for the ones who are lost
Broken and battered, by the curb they’ve been tossed

A little world peace would also be fitting
We could all use it, at least where I’m sitting
I’m probably asking just a bit much
But I only ask for merely a touch

I've learned many things
Most of them the hard way
The best lesson so far
Is to be grateful each day

I've traveled around
For myself I've been seeking
Never setting down roots
As away life was leaking

Finally I'm home
At least home for now
For I don't know what plans
For me God will allow

I've finally turned the search
Looking inward instead
There is so much more
Of the journey ahead

I've carried the flame
Of a love that runs deep
And lived most of my dreams
Either awake or asleep

I've experienced the sadness of death
And witnessed the beauty of birth
Sometimes too close for comfort
As I've lived on this earth

I do a montage anywhere I am, that's just how I roll.... sometimes you just gotta say what the fuck :)
