While the Reform polling is terrifying, it's good to see LDs and Greens breaking through in England. Finally breaking the stranglehold of the big two.

This is a good thing, don't get me wrong, but the talk of adjusting it, keeping it in some silly wee way to save what is relativity speaking for a country with our wealth, pennies, is daft and immoral.

My one grandparent from Glasgow was telling me about moving out here in the 60s and how she felt it was so poor and alien. The alien I get, different language, traditions etc. The poor though always confused me as Glasgow was pretty rough too. (that or Na h-Eileanan Siar was somehow worse)

two kids. A couple might be able to afford X number now, but you could become ill, death, they could be living in a country run by idiots who caused a cost of living crisis, religious and cultural pressures not to have an abortion, R*pe

Punishing children by keeping them hungry won't fix the fact their parents might have made a daft decision, and it won't magically make the kid disappear(well...). Lift the 2 child cap properly, none of this half-baked nonsense. This is excluding all the other reasons folk might have more than

Left, right, centre, pro inde, pro union, favourite flavour of crisp being ready salted, cheese/onion. Surely we can all agree, child poverty is something we should do our upmost to tackle. Time and time again, experts have pointed out this is the most cost-effective change that could happen.

Hopefully there is now a clear understanding across govt that unless the two-child limit is scrapped, there will be more kids in poverty at the end of this parliament than when Labour took office. The policy must go in the child poverty strategy before the life chances of many more kids are damaged.

www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/star... So more surveillance shite on top of the online safety nonsense. Remember the next time they say they don't have money to remove the 2 child cap, or how they need to take more money from disabled folk they found money for this dodgy crap.

Heartening (for the most part) to see some cross party cooperation.

On the same day he defended Peter Mandelson aka one of Jeffery Epsteins close pals. Somewhere in Whitehall a Malcolm Tucker-esque character has thrown an inkjet printer out a window in a fit of rage as he has to now try and spin this.

They erased the new Banksy mural in London. But the stain remains.
Side-by-side images of Banksy’s mural on the Royal Courts of Justice in London. On the left, the artwork appears faded and scrubbed, leaving only a ghostly outline of a judge raising a gavel over a protester holding a placard. On the right, the mural is fully visible in sharp black and white stencil, showing a judge in a traditional white wig and robes striking down at a protester who defends himself with a bloodied sign.

Just you wait until the inevitable mass data breach happens. Wont it be fun when an entire nation is doxxed at the same time! Anyway I'm totally not in the UK, I'm very much in Ireland (until they do the same then I'll be errr...Kazakh?)

🔴 NEW: Thousands marched for Palestine in London last month. But a smaller protest on Whitehall raised another question. Should UK and Scottish oil profits flow to a company linked to Israel’s war on Gaza?

It is very nearly the tenth anniversary of that brief moment when, for 2 or 3 days, British newspapers remembered refugees are desperate human beings who need our help, rather than scum that it's okay to threaten with violence.

Try getting it out in rural areas. Tried to help a number of people claim it but when calling the solicitors 90% of the time it’s a no soon as you tell them the postcode. Have you imagine it’s the same down your end, Highlands, Orkney and Shetland.

Defender Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire. Invader Russia rejected it.

Trump said he would impose sanctions on Russia if it didn't stop the killing. Then he chickened out. Then he agreed to a meeting with the war criminal Putin.

Ukraine keeps fighting but the U.S. has surrendered.

Netanyahu’s plan to occupy Gaza is abhorrent and it's increasingly clear that his goal is ethnic cleansing.

The UK can't just sit on its hands. The Prime Minister must stop all arms exports to Israel and sanction Netanyahu and his cabinet.

Not to be a downer, but if I were a scientist, I would avoid the UK. We are hurtling towards a Reform gov, and Labour seem hell-bent on delivering it.
