Last year, law enforcement intercepted about 19 kilograms of fentanyl at the US-Canada border. At the southern border, agents seized 9,600 kilograms.

And agree. Users who maliciously mislabel block lists need full lifetime bans. They aren't here in good faith. (It says something that most of the culprits I'm hearing about are all similar in their perspective.)

As a Canadian, I'm not supposed to be involved in US politics, but it is hard to look away. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion, and it matters to Canada as the ties between our countries are so strong. I sincerely hope my American brothers and sisters weather this storm. I care.

I didn’t want to put my real name on my new Bluesky account. I was attacked multiple times at the other place by people who clearly googled me (and one who doxxed my dad). I didn’t feel safe. Rebuilding trust is going to take time. I think I have “Post X Traumatic Stress Disorder”.

For now the goal is to resist the “asshole invasion”. People that thrive on name calling and abuse need to be put on block lists and deprived of engagement. Let them mill around on X agreeing with each other with no one to insult. Good faith, civil opposing views are welcome.

Yes, some "woke" terms can be excessive and borderline silly. Doesn't mean we should err in the other direction.
"Illegals" isn't just inaccurate, as Greg notes, it concedes the framing that undocumented people are little more than their immigration status. It's like "convict" or "ex-con."
