This is part of it for me — yes everything is ~keeping pace with inflation~ but that means that I’m treading water. With every gain in wages, which broadly have to be fought tooth and nail for and are opposed viciously, it’s just to *catch up* to rent and living costs. And CEOs get $50B in comp.
