True enough, tho black components only became common starting ~2003 or so.
I threw an actual 5¼" drive into my FLP02, in classic IBM PC AT gray, and it's delightfully mismatched.
(Waiting on an adapter to add a 3½" drive too, gonna mount a greaseweazle internally to connect them to a modern PC)
