It will get worse.
To make it short, "socialism" is just a framing.

I think the real problem lies in the US govt which tries to impede renewable investments.
December 11, 2025 at 6:00 PM
That's really expensive and does not reflect the market's value.
That's why i pointed out that a cheap mini-installation can lower your house's base load significantly, for a quite small expenditure.
It's the low hanging fruit almost everybody can afford and which pays of quickly.
December 11, 2025 at 5:57 PM
You stated that they accelerated it, but they didn't. They reversed the decomissioning, then reversed their decision again.
Which is quite a difference.
btw those few plants did not make the difference, mostly this freed the grid from the base load power that led to renewable curtailment.
December 11, 2025 at 5:53 PM
The Kia PV5 could have been much cheaper...
December 11, 2025 at 5:49 PM
But if one cannot afford the invest, how can he afford the other costs that will be running away soon?
December 11, 2025 at 3:03 PM
not cheap?
A 470 kWp panel costs around 60€. Make it 2 and a micro inverter = 220€. Add some 80€ for installation.
You'll get some 900 kWh/a from it (your mileage may vary).
It will run 20-30 years without any servicing. Add one replacement inverter.
320€ / (30 x 900) = 1,2 ct/kWh.

France's reactors are not germany's reactors.
This is about national standards and products. So when you expect anyone to respect frenchs standards, one also have to respect the german ones.
They were EOL and their owners did not want to prolong their life. Why? b/c nuclear is too expensive.Really.
December 11, 2025 at 2:53 PM
not really increasing any more; coal is about to peak.
December 11, 2025 at 2:51 PM
Not true, it's a propagandistic legend.
Coal and nuclear show different load characteristics here. The last three plants were about to be decomissioned anyway.
There is a regular plan for the coal phase-out. It is being followed if not achieving its goal earlier.

December 11, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Also wrong.
The process has previously been stopped by the conservatives, effectively stopping renewables buildup too. Then, after fukushima, they pushed for a quick phase-out.
Their chaotic governing brought us todays coal and lignite emissions.
December 11, 2025 at 2:07 PM
Wrong.
Germany democratically decided to phase out nuclear, long before fukushima.

It's mafia.

December 10, 2025 at 3:54 PM
Sure, the name hasn't changed, but its meaning, as it is reflected in the second paragraph of your wikipedia source. The plan is less a command economy planning and more a strategic guideline, since the former soviet-style command economy changed very much into a capitalism.

Since the politicians of europe are not a totally heterogenous people, your generalizing thoughts about them are only your opinion.

Thank god your thoughts are almost irrelevant for the reality.
