You are lamenting about history. There have been a lot of political mistakes in the past, foremost from the conservatives governments. But however you look at it: Nuclear power will not come back. Because it is no solution.

They don't understand. Anyhow it's utter nonsense from every perspective, because installing new nuclear generation is going to be the most expensive and also longest way to get to "net zero". It is a chimera.

since both do heat water to generate power, of course they do need the same cooling.
It's the secret of those old school power plants: they waste 2/3 of their primary energy into heat dissipation.

Polen hat die Nachricht des Ukrainekriegs wohl verstanden. Das Problem sind die wankelmütigen, populistischen und russophilen Regierungen, v.a. in Ungarn und der Slowakei, aber auch potentiell in Tschechien. Zieht sich aber auch durch den ganzen Balkan bis zum Schwarzen Meer durch.

Man sollte hier eines ganz klar adressieren:
Mit Ausnahme von Zypern sind diese Länder sämtlich dem Irrglauben aufgesessen, man könnte die Aufgabe mit Atomkraft lösen.
Sie sind alle gescheitert, haben dadurch Zeit verplempert und ihre Volkswirtschaften beschädigt.
Atomkraft ist eine Chimäre.
