"they went after everyone" - I'm not sure what you are referring to. A large number of high ranking Nazis were brought to the USA (operation paper clip) and the USSR where they were given new identities. Many low level Nazis were never held accountable outside of secret assassinations by Israel

It seems obvious to me that the only way *this* ends is fighting. It is just a question of when, over what and by whom.
As to the idea that the military would step in and depose POTUS (which is what would be needed), only see that in the event of an impending clash between the guard and the army.
