Im so glad I replayed this game. Both the combat and magic use really clicked with me. I completed the main story and am just getting started on the data fights, but maaaaan, I loved this game. I think everyone should play on Proud Mode in 2...

I can appreciate the darker tone KH1 incorporates as well as putting a high focus on magic. Whatever Regular Pat has to say on KH1, I agree with him, this is still a good foundation that the series thankfully evolved from. I still like KH1 tons, what a fun little ditty

This is my second time replaying it, I did it on Proud Mode. Imma be real: this game was not designed for Proud Mode. I can really appreciate this game for having high replayability with the different leveling routes you can take. Someday I'll tackle the sword route...

Battle with a Past Reflection

An epic piece of the cat zombie, Whetster, looking in shock at Lydia, a cocker spaniel woman performing a flying kick in the air. Another figure is behind her, a cat in a helmet and cape, wielding a monstrous sword, also performing the same kick. Whetster stands in shock and confusion and sight, realizing how similar the dog woman kicks to this ghostly image from the past. There is even a lightening bolt striking behind Whetster, a metaphorical representation of his shock, as rim lighting of the blue flash surrounds him. They are all presented over a knight sky with violet clouds and blue-green stars decorating above the subjects. Two building structures lay in the bottom-right corner: a hotel, and a clock tower with steam coming out of its smokestacks on the top and side of said tower. Steam also decorates the two structures, a light-blue haze scattered about it.
