After listening to Wild Faith and crying more than once, I can say as an ex-Evangelical that it encapsulates the movement perfectly. More than once I found myself wishing I could have told my own story. But I didn't have to. Every aspect of my childhood was there and more.

Made the mistake of reading an article about the use of corporal punishment in evangelical families, and damn that brings back so many memories that I'd been very happy keeping in a deep dark place where I'd never have to look at them again.
