A rather muted sunrise this morning. Peace and comfort to all on this Christmas Day and everyday.

Extremes of a changing climate.
Europe up to this point has been experiencing once of its mildest Decembers on record.

In contrast to North America parts of NW Canada are experiencing a historically cold December….

This morning Braeburn, Yukon fell to 🥶🌡️-55.2°C (-67F) the lowest Canadian temperatures since 1999.

Just magical.
Woke later than usual; light seeping into the sky and birds singing snd I realised: it’s here, it’s finally here at last!
A happy, healthy, hope-filled #WinterSolstice to you and yours!

It already is. History denier at work.

This is absolutely insane on so many fronts. No concern for anything but blind greed and power even as we are awash in oil.
Trump on Venezuela: "Getting land, oil rights, whatever we had -- they took it away because we had a president that maybe wasn't watching. But they're not gonna do that. We want it back. They took our oil rights. We had a lot of oil there. They threw our companies out. And we want it back."

I could not agree more on this individual.
A new low, even for this vile and abhorrent creature.

Still in a state of shock trying to process the tragic loss of one of the most gifted men in the entertainment industry & his wife when the Embarrassment-in-Chief disgraces common human decency with this repulsive, deranged statement.

Good advice. RIP, Buck.
“Don’t waste your time on anything that doesn’t thrill you or bring you love. See you out somewhere in the cosmos.”

This is the posthumous message left by Gil Gerard. The actor who played Buck Rogers in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979) has just passed away at the age of 82.

So very true.
In a world where fewer and fewer people concern themselves with the plight of others, the loss of Rob Reiner, who cared deeply about humanitarian causes, feels that much more devastating. RIP: 1947-1925.

Absolutely reckless not to have ADS-B turned on with commercial aircraft transiting.
The pilot of a JetBlue flight reported on Friday that he narrowly avoided colliding with a U.S. military aircraft over the Caribbean after an Air Force refueling tanker passed in front of the commercial plane without broadcasting its position, according to air traffic control radio communications.

The Air Force refueling tanker was flying without its location transponder activated and could not be detected by air traffic control.
