People who say they haven’t liked an RPG in decades until Baldur’s Gate 3 or Expedition 33 (two games quite literally built on the bones of other games) quite simply do not like RPGs

Didn't get a review unit for Analogue 3D but I preordered one way back when and looks like it's set to arrive tomorrow 👀. Not sure how fast I'll turn around some content for it but definitely looking forward to trying it out and sharing my thoughts.

I've been very down for the rush of Tales Remasters happening and getting as much of the catalog on current platforms as possible, but this one seems kinda silly to me. Only 4 months after Xillia Remastered, game's still playable on all modern hardware, and isn't even a decade old yet.

Two things can be true: 1.) The Game Awards are meaningless and we shouldn't take them all that seriously. 2.) Award shows of its scale DO rewrite the mainstream history of the art form, whether they deserve to or not, and its okay to care that it's so thoughtless despite having that responsibility.

Finished up the post game in Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D (thanks to @square-enix-games.com for the code!) and what an absolutely incredible way to cap off this remake trilogy. Perfection.
